NOTES:
(a) No
candidate shall be summoned for Viva Voce and Psychological test unless he has
obtained at least 33 percent marks in each individual written paper and 50
percent marks in the aggregate of the written portion of the examination. No
candidates shall be considered to have qualified in the examination unless he
also obtains at least 50 percent marks in Viva Voce and Psychological tests.
Failure in or absence in Viva Voce and Psychological tests shall mean that the
candidate has failed to qualify for appointment and his name will not be
included in the merit list.
(b) Names
of candidates who qualify shall be arranged in order of merit according to the
aggregate marks obtained in the examination.
c) In the event of a tie, the order of merit
shall be determined in accordance with the highest marks secured in the
Psychological/Viva Voce tests, should the marks in the Psychological/Viva Voce
test of the candidates who tie, be equal then the order of merit shall be
decided in accordance with the highest marks obtained by such candidates in the
aggregate of the compulsory subjects. If these are the same, then the elder
candidate would be placed above the younger one.
d) Non-Muslim
candidates have the option either to attempt Islamic Studies or the same number
of questions in a separate section.
e)
The papers on English and
General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies & Islamic Studies will be of Graduate
level. The six papers relating to Law will be of LL.B. level.
(f) A
candidate must obtain 33 percent marks in each of the written papers. A
candidate must obtain 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all written papers.
(0.50 or more marks will be rounded off). Thereafter qualifying candidates must also
secure 50% marks in the interview to be finally successful.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Applicants
are required to submit ONLINE Application Forms by the closing date which is 05-05-2014. Candidates should fill the ON-LINE
Form carefully for which detailed Guidelines and Instructions have been given on
Punjab Public Service Commission's website: www.ppsc.gop.pk.
Editing options, to correct any data, will be available to the candidates till
4:00 p.m. (Office closing time)of last date of
submission of online applications.
2. Original Treasury receipt of Rs.400/- for sr.
No. 57, 58, 59, 60 & Rs: 700/- for Sr. No.61
under head: “C02101- ORGANIZATIONS OF STATE-EXAMINATION FEE REALIZED BY THE
PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION”, will be deposited in any branch of State Bank
of Pakistan or National Bank of Pakistan or Government Treasury and receipt
number will be mentioned in the
Online application form. Original receipt will be Produced
at the time of written test, interview / viva voce without which candidates
will not be allowed to appear in the test, interview / viva voce. Original
receipt will be retained by PPSC staff, for record purposes.
3. HARD COPY of ON-LINE
Application Form is not needed.
4. Correspondence with candidates will be done
through e-mail. Candidates are advised to mention their e-mail addresses in the
ON-LINE Application Form. Those who do not have e-mail addresses are advised to
create e-mail account immediately.
5. If
the number of applicants is higher than 10000 or Post-to-Candidate ratio is
more than 1:100, the candidates shall be short listed for written test as per
Post-to-Candidate ratio of 1:50 on academic basis.
6. The
academic merit will be calculated on the basis of percentage of marks obtained
in the Board/ University examination form Matric to
minimum qualification provided in the online application form as per policy.
7. If a
candidate possesses higher qualification of minimum two years then the minimum
qualification prescribed for a post, he/she will be exempted from short listing
and will be called for written test.
8. Schedule
of written test will be given on PPSC website from where candidates can
download their roll numbers and information about date, time and venues. No
candidate will be informed
about the date of Written Test/ Interview individually. The candidates should
remain in touch with the Punjab Public Service Commission Office or visit the
Commission's Website www.ppsc.gop.pk for further
information.
9. If
number of applications is less than 150, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview on academic basis without any
written test if written test is not mandatory in the prescribed Service Rules.
10. IN CASE ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE
CANDIDATE IN HIS/HER ONLINE APPLICATION FORM PROVE TO BE INCORRECT AT ANY
STAGE, HE/SHE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN UNDER
THE RULES.
11. The
number of posts may be increased or decreased by the competent authority only if
no date for written examination is fixed and in case when selection is made
only on the basis of viva voce/ interview, before a date for viva voce/
interview has been fixed.

presently living/residing abroad and having Punjab Domicile may also apply.
13. Following

for interview / viva voce:

issued by the Controller of Examinations of B.A & M.A Library Sciences
showing total / obtained marks, CGPA / GPA or percentages of marks.
e) Degrees/Detailed marks certificate duly
issued by the Controller of Examinations of B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) Agri.

Important Note: Candidates will
be admitted to the written test provisionally. On detailed scrutiny of
applications of candidates declared successful in written test, if any
candidate is found ineligible in any respect under rules, his candidature will
be cancelled regardless of the fact whether he appeared in the written test or
qualified therein. To avoid frustration, candidates are advised in their own
